These waffles have the sweetly sour taste of a good
buttermilk recipe, and a nice crisp crust. Serve them with seasonal
berries and whipped cream for a decadent Sunday morning breakfast.
If there are only a few of you, don't bother halving
the recipe -- make the whole batch and freeze the remainder after they've
cooled on a wire rack. A minute or two in the toaster oven will crisp
them up for a great snack for days to come.
